Our Services

The Dallas Pregnancy Resource Center (DPRC) offers many services to help meet the needs of our clients.

Counseling*

We reach out to women experiencing unplanned pregnancies by building relationships based on trust and understanding. After carefully assessing a woman’s situation, trained DPRC advocates offer appropriate support, information and services in a non-pressured environment. We provide medical and scientific information about abortion, pregnancy, fetal development, pregnancy termination, post-abortion syndrome and support groups. This information helps to enable the woman to make an educated decision about her future.

Pregnancy Testing / Confirmation of Pregnancy for Medicaid

We offer women pregnancy testing that will provide accurate results before they leave the center. Also, if a client will be applying for Medicaid, we will provide the verification of her pregnancy, which is needed for the application process.

DPRC Medical Clinic

We operate a clinic offering women, who meet medical criteria, sonograms and the opportunity to visit with our medical staff, which includes doctors and nurses.

Birth Control Consult

One of our trained nurses will meet with the client one-on-one to discuss the effectiveness of birth control. Information about several methods of birth control is provided along with facts and statistics. Sexual purity is also discussed and strongly encouraged for women who are not married.

Nutrition and Prepared Childbirth Classes

Through a series of classes by doctors, nurses and other trained instructors, we help new moms and their partners prepare for their newborn.

Material Assistance for Mother and Baby

Maternity and infant clothes, furnishings and other baby items, whatever material needs an expectant woman may have – our goal is to assist the woman in every way possible.

One-On-One Mentoring

Godly women with the gift of mercy openly discuss issues such as parenting skills, self-esteem, marriage, relationships and discipleship.

Post-Abortion Support Services

DPRC has a confidential group, offering women a study that allows them to work through the painful experiences of their abortions and come to an understanding of God’s forgiveness.

Community Referrals

By networking with a variety of public and private agencies, we are able to refer clients to and provide information about the following:

• Churches (various denominations)

* The Dallas Pregnancy Resource Center is staffed by volunteers who have undergone training in crisis counseling. Most volunteers and paid staff do not have degrees in counseling and are not licensed by the state as professional counselors. The lay counseling undertaken at the Dallas Pregnancy Resource Center is not intended to be a substitute for professional counseling. A referral for such counseling will be given if requested.
